  47 .SH DESCRIPTION
  48 These routines delete the character under the cursor; all characters to the
  49 right of the cursor on the same line are moved to the left one position and the
  50 last character on the line is filled with a blank.
  51 The cursor position does
  52 not change (after moving to \fIy\fR, \fIx\fR, if specified).
  53 (This does not
  54 imply use of the hardware delete character feature.)

  56 All routines return the integer \fBERR\fR upon failure and an \fBOK\fR (SVr4
  57 specifies only "an integer value other than \fBERR\fR") upon successful
  58 completion.

  60 Functions with a "mv" prefix first perform a cursor movement using
  61 \fBwmove\fP, and return an error if the position is outside the window,
  62 or if the window pointer is null.
