The <STRONG>tic</STRONG> command translates a <STRONG>terminfo</STRONG> file from source
format into compiled format. The compiled format is nec-
essary for use with the library routines in <STRONG><A HREF="ncurses.3x.html">ncurses(3x)</A></STRONG>.
