  74        acters.  The four functions with <EM>n</EM> as  the  last  argument
  75        return a leading substring at most <EM>n</EM> bytes long (exclusive
  76        of the trailing NUL).  Transfer stops at the  end  of  the
  77        current  line,  or  when  <EM>n</EM>  bytes have been stored at the
  78        location referenced by <EM>wstr</EM>.
