  56 The \fBbkgrndset\fR and \fBwbkgrndset\fR routines manipulate the
  57 background of the named window.
  58 The window background is a \fBcchar_t\fR consisting of
  59 any combination of attributes (i.e., rendition) and a complex character.
  60 The attribute part of the background is combined (OR'ed) with all non-blank
  61 characters that are written into the window with \fBwaddch\fR.  Both
  62 the character and attribute parts of the background are combined with
  63 the blank characters.
  64 The background becomes a property of the
  65 character and moves with the character through any scrolling and
  66 insert/delete line/character operations.
