+ modify generatesd ncurses*config and ncurses.pc, ncursesw.pc, etc.,
  to list helper libraries such as gpm for static linking (Debian
  #900839).
+ marked vwprintw and vwscanw as deprecated; recommend using vw_printw
  and vw_scanw, respectively.
